What is being bought
Published requirement descriptionDeca on behalf of the Ministry of Defence (MoD) has a requirement to maintain a Remote Video Viewing Aids [RVVA] / Industrial Borescope capability, for use by Inspection, Testing and Repair Teams for aircraft maintenance and repair operations.
The RVVA inventory estimated at 360 units has been rendered obsolete by the manufacturers and suppliers. Consequently, this equipment will no longer be supported post March 2026. Therefore, there is an emerging requirement to procure new replacement RVVA, together with a maintenance and training support package, in order to maintain an RVVA capability.

To sustain the capability, MOD is exploring potential future solutions, that will underpin the defence and security of the UK in the future, and as such DE&S Deca will be holding a Market Engagement Event it will be held at MOD Sealand Welsh Road, Deeside, CH5 2LS and is likely to commence on the 16th of June 2025. The objective of the Market Engagement Event is to understand the capacity and capability of the industrial base to support this capability requirement.
If you would like to take part in the Market Engagement Event Please submit an expression of interest by emailing to [email protected]. Please include the following reference ‘ 713458450 - Supply of Remote Video Viewing Aids [RVVA] / Industrial Borescope'.
Once all expression of interest has been reviewed, we will email back the details of the event. Please email your expression of interest to the email provided by EOD 5th of June 2025.
Where relevant and appropriate, this market engagement event may be followed by further engagement exercise which will be notified through normal channels (e.g. Defence Sourcing Portal, Find a Tender)
