How this framework works

From the published notice
Places
up to 1 suppliers · 1 bids received (1.0 per place) · 3 appointed (full)
Framework period

8 yrs from 1 Apr 2025, The justification for a 4+2+2 (possible 8 years in total) length Framework, is due to the complexity of the proposed Framework Agreement, taking account of the national procurement policy around tackling climate change and given the nature of the service/product, to ensure customers can gain the maximum benefits from using the Framework without compromising the potential for open competition in the wider market.

The lotProcurement structure

Lot #1CancelledRenewal 8 yrs

Direct Award via YPO framework (Supply of Gas Framework - 1187) in line with PCR15 regulations and constitution.

Contract period: 1 Apr 2025 – 31 Mar 2033 (8 yrs)

Extensions: The Framework Agreement will cover the period from 01 April 2025 to 31 March 2029 with two options to extend for an additional 24 months. The first decision to extend the Framework period will be taken by the end of December 2028 and will be dependent on satisfactory completion of all aspects of the Framework to date, the current market conditions for this category and YPO’s contracting structures. The maximum Framework period will therefore be 8 years, from 01 April 2025 to 31 March 2033 (subject to an annual review, incorporating price negotiations and KPI performance). · There is a possibility that this Framework will be subject to renewal after 6.5 years from the commencement dateVariant bids: not allowedElectronic catalogue: required

What this means for your bid
  • Price carries 100 of 100 points: a 10% discount moves about 10 points. This one is won on the number: sharpen the price before polishing the prose.
  • “GMCA 1317 Gas Supply Contract” is a framework: the contest is a place on its panel, up to 1 suppliers, not a single contract.

Price arithmetic assumes straight proportional scoring; the tender pack may use another formula.
