- Change Exercising option to extend current contract tenure., Need for additional works, services or supplies by the original contractor/concessionaire: The previous PPM obligations under the original contract was de-scoped as a temporary cost-saving measure; however, increased risk of non-compliance has increased the urgency of bring back the PPM regimes. The sourcing and mobilization timescales required for a new provision will heighten this without the guarantee of better value. Lack of asset data is likely to increase priced risks for new suppliers. There will also be a gap in both reactive and PPM provisions between when the current provision expires, and new one comes on board, as the business could not commit to a retender earlier due to funding constraints.
