Coverage: 6 active published awards; 5 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Published-to-award variance compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

What is being bought
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) is the independent regulator of health and safety and has responsibility for regulating consumer gas safety in GB and does this largely through the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998 (GSIUR).
A key component of the consumer gas safety regime is the Gas Safe Register, the official gas registration body for the United Kingdom, Isle of Man, Jersey and Guernsey, appointed by the relevant Health and Safety Authority for each area. By law all gas engineers must be on the Gas Safe Register. Gas Safe Register deals with all aspects of the downstream gas industry covered by the following regulations:
• Great Britain: The Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998
• Northern Ireland: The Gas Safety (Installation & Use) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2004
The regulations cover both piped natural gas and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). The gas registration scheme is owned by HSE and exists to protect the public from unsafe gas work.
