What is being bought
The Contracting Authority is seeking to appoint a maximum of 4 nr Contractors to a framework (with 1 nr Contractors appointed to each of Lot 1,Lot 2 and lot 3 and 1 reserve contractor) (the structure of which is more particularly set out in this MoI Part B), under which the Contracting Authority may enter into Call-off Contracts for the provision of Building Maintenance Works and Minor Building Works which may incorporate Mechanical and Electrical Building Services, directly employed labour, Civil Engineering, Roofing, Flooring, Windows, Painting, Glazing Works, and other related specialist works. Any Call-off Contracts awarded under the terms of the Framework Agreements shall comprise the NEC4 Term Service Short Contract as amended by the Client. The framework shall comprise of 3 lots as follows: • Lot 1: Ulster Hospital Dundonald • Lot 2- North Down and Ards- Community • Lot 3: Down Lisburn Hospitals and Community In addition, 1 nr Contractors shall be appointed to Reserve Status for all of the lots. Further details on each of the lots is included within the Instructions to Tenderers. Economic Operators shall be appointed to one lot, but could be required to carry out work in the other areas in accordance with the needs of the Client. Details of how the lots will be awarded is outlined within section 7.7.2. Should less than four Contractors be included within the ITT stage, the Client reserves the right to amend the award methodology to ensure that all lots have been filled.
