What is being bought
Published requirement descriptionThe Trust is re-procuring a Managed Service Agreement (MSA) for the provision of satellite dialysis and home haemodialysis services, seeking an independent dialysis provider to deliver the services and work in partnership with the Trust as a long-term strategic partner.
- Not divided into lots: GSTT has taken the decision not to use Lots for the following reasons: 1. GSTT wishes to establish a strategic partnership with a recognised dialysis specialist as the lead supplier. 2. Separating clinical from FM services runs the risk of GSTT having two different suppliers delivering renal dialysis services. This would be a significant contract management challenge and interface risk between suppliers as well as an operational and clinical challenge managing multiple relationships across multiple sites which are, in effect, part of a single service. 3. GSTT has conducted market engagement to ensure proposals are viable.
- How the procedure runs: There will be 3 stages to the procurement process: 1. PSQ/conditions of participation and Initial Tenders 2. Negotiation 3. Best and Final Offers
- No preliminary market engagement: A UK2 was not considered necessary prior to undertaking the preliminary market engagement due to the Trust’s existing knowledge of the market, informed by a previous Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust (RFL) procurement. To ensure transparency and equal treatment, relevant market engagement information, including presentation slides, is included in the tender documentation for all bidders. Participation in the engagement is not a prerequisite for tendering, and all further clarifications will be shared via the procurement portal.
