What is being bought
The Council have a contract to retrofit and repair its fleet of refuse collection vehicles. The main contractor has sub-contracted this work to Cooper Group UK. The main contractor has informed the Council that they are having problems delivering this contract and the Council understands that the main contractor may be facing some financial difficulties. Accordingly, in order to protect the continuity of the retrofit works required the Council is intending to contract directly with the Cooper Group UK, the sub-contractor.

    Dacorum Borough Council are publishing this VEAT Notice to inform the market that we intend to enter in to a contract with Cooper Group Ltd in relation to the retrofit and repair of the Council's fleet of Refuse Vehicles. The Council already have a contract in place with a main contractor for this and Coopers Group Ltd are delivering the service through sub-contract arrangements, however, the main contractor has informed the Council that they are having problems delivering this contract and the Council understands that they may be facing some financial difficulties. Accordingly, in order to protect the continuity of the retrofit works required the Council is intending to contract directly with the Coopers Group Ltd, the sub-contractor.
