Coverage: 0 active published awards; 0 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Published-to-award variance compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

What is being bought
From October 2021 Bristol City Council (BCC) has been looking to set up a Sleeved Power Purchase Agreement. This arrangement will allow power generated by BCC’s own wind turbines to be directed (virtually) to nominated BCC sites. Initial demand is expected to be around 13 GWh/yr, initial generation also around 13 GWh/yr. It is proposed to establish the sleeved PPA with initially just the council wind turbines and the half hourly sites, but the contract must have provision to expand both generation and demand. This could include further half-hourly sites, further non-Half-Hourly and UMS sites (subject to confirmation), and additional non-BCC generation. In order to seek a wide range of potential bidders, it is proposed the sleeved PPA should be put to tender. The new contract is expected to run for 18 months, with an option for a one year extension (30 months max).
