Payment obligations depend on the applicable regime and contract. Consult the official documents.
Coverage: 121 active published awards; 119 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Published-to-award variance compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

What is being bought
The Wales Research and Diagnostic PET Imaging Centre at Cardiff University require a daily supply of the radiopharmaceutical 18FDG (also known as Fluorodeoxyglucose 18-F) to be able to scan cancer and dementia patients to provide an accurate diagnosis. The product is ordered on a daily basis (Monday to Friday) to be able to meet the daily patient demands. The scans are performed at the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff. It is our understanding, based on extensive market research with clinicians and other users of the consumables, there is only one current provider in the market able to meet the current daily demands of the university. We wish to invite expressions of interest to understand if our knowledge of the market is accurate. If it is clear that there is only one supplier able to meet the current requirement, we will continue to contract with known supplier for a two-year period from 1st December 2022 to 30th November 2024 and place a contract award notice. If you are able to meet this requirement, please contact Stuart Frankin (franklinsp@cf.ac.uk) to express interest and provide detail of your ability to meet the requirement. Please express an interest by 5pm on the 30th November 2022.
