What is being bought
Published requirement descriptionThis contract is for a fully comprehensive maintenance service to the lifts across Queen’s buildings, including at the main University campus, the Royal Victoria Hospital site in West Belfast, the City Hospital site and a few other outlying locations. The Contractor’s fully comprehensive maintenance service shall include but not be limited to:
- All parts and equipment necessary to cover all types of lifts.
- Monthly service inspections.
- Supplementary tests.
- 24/7 call out.
- Observations, defects and repairs from insurance inspections.
- Attendances as necessary.
- Shaft lighting.
- Lift car lighting.
- Remote monitoring system software and backup software.
- Remote monitoring base station PC and UPS.The University reserves the right to add and remove lifts from the contract at any time.

This authority will incorporate a standstill period at the point information on the award of the contract is communicated to Tenderers. That notification will provide full information on the award decision. The standstill period, which will be for a minimum of 10 calendar days, provides time for unsuccessful tenderers to challenge the award decision before the contract is entered into.The Public Contract Regulations 2015 (SI 2015/102) (as amended) provide for aggrieved parties who have been harmed or are at risk of harm by a breach of the rules to take action in the High Court (England, Wales and Northern Ireland).
