    Queen’s University Belfast’s seeks to appoint a supplier to provide a Managed Telecommunication Service for Staff and Student Accommodation WiFi and Broadband. The current contract is due to expire in July 2022.The University accommodates c. 3500 students across 9 different locations in purpose-built blocks and converted house accommodation. The internet provision needs to support a changing teaching environment, with more hybrid learning requiring students to attend lectures on line, as well as meeting the demands of the users requiring connection to multiple devices, both wired and wireless across multiple platforms. With students requiring greater bandwidth speeds and wireless connectivity, the University wishes to continue to upgrade the current infrastructure to reach the provision of 6e by 2024. Thus creating a secure ‘home-user’ internet experience within a multi-tenant environment to student’s residences across a large multi-site campus.The University wishes to extend the managed internet service to their portfolio of c.84 staff and family accommodation rentals, broken down into houses and apartments blocks.
