Published description of the framework
Allocation of Waste Disposal During the Framework Agreement:
The allocation of the chosen waste disposal site will be to the most appropriate treatment/storage site in the following order to minimise costs to the business from haulage costs.
•Distance – next nearest to the site where the General Waste is removed from to cut down on environmental travel impacts and haulage costs.
•Cost – most economical facility in conjunction with the additional cost of haulage as above.
•Vehicle Utilisation – if a more distant site is in proximity to the next collection point for the vehicle, it might be appropriate to utilise this facility to reduce “empty running”.
•Capacity – due to limited treatment/storage capacity within the County, if the nearest location cannot be used then the next best available site for the reduction in environmental issues, cost, and capacity will be used.
