  • Price carries 40 of 100 points: a 10% discount moves about 4 points. The method statement decides this lot, not the discount.
  • “First Aid Training Framework” is a framework: the contest is a place on its panel, not a single contract, and call-offs are awarded directly: getting appointed is the whole game.

Price arithmetic assumes straight proportional scoring; the tender pack may use another formula.

    13 Jun 2025, 23:59 BST

Carmarthenshire County Council is preparing to establish a framework for the delivery of first aid training courses, including Paediatric Emergency First Aid at Work (one day), First Aid at Work (three day), Emergency First Aid at Work (one day), and a range of specialist courses such as Anaphylaxis Management, Catastrophic Bleeding Management, and Choking Rescue Techniques in Learning Disabilities settings.

As part of our preliminary market engagement, we are seeking to understand the current market landscape, identify organisations capable of delivering these courses, and explore how Providers can meet our specific requirements. The information gathered through this questionnaire will help inform the development of our specification and procurement approach, ensuring that the framework is robust, fit for purpose, and aligned with best practice.

The questionnaire can be accessed via the following link, forms.office.com/e/44hSpV0q1D ↗

Participation in this exercise is not part of a formal procurement process and does not constitute a commitment to tender or guarantee of future work. All responses will be treated in confidence and used solely to inform our planning and decision-making. We welcome input from all interested providers, including those new to public sector contracts.

Thank you for your time and contribution.
