What is being bought
The provision of embedded youth violence hospital workers within Whipps Cross Hospital forms part of the Violence Reduction Partnership. The Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) developed a Police and Crime Plan 2017- 2021 whereby keeping Children and Young People safe being named one of the top three priorities adopted by this new proposed plan and investing in a better criminal justice service for London as one of their key commitments. The plan highlighted that there was a need to develop more effective interventions for children and young people at risk of serious youth violence, child sexual exploitation, as well as improving the criminal justice system and effective health intervention. In addition, the Mayor’s Office new Policing and Crime plan 2022/25 new priorities include Victims Better Supported that is where this project has been targeted and now approved by MOPAC.
