Provision of an Interpersonal Trauma Response service for NHS Devon CCG

The aim of the Interpersonal Trauma Service is to improve the health, wellbeing and safety of people who have been exposed to trauma arising from sexual violence and abuse and/or domestic abuse. The objectives are to: • Embed an Interpersonal Trauma worker to work across a specified number of practices to offer support to both health professionals working in practices and identified people who have experienced of interpersonal trauma. • Embed a service for people at risk of perpetrating abuse. • Provide appropriate training to GP teams to enable identification, enquiry, and response. • Provide adults whose health is being negatively impacted by interpersonal trauma with appropriate support • Provide support to children affected by domestic abuse. • Provide people who are using abusive behaviours with appropriate support and interventions. • Facilitate rapid access to appropriate support following referral. This processed is being managed by NHS South, Central and West Commissioning Support Unit (SCW) on behalf of the Commissioner(s). Additional information: The services are healthcare services falling within Schedule 3 to the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 ("the Regulations") which are not subject to the full regime of the Regulations, but is instead governed by the "Light Touch Regime" contained within Chapter 3, Section 7 of the Regulations (Regulations 74 to 77).
