What is being bought
Published requirement descriptionRoyal National Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust requires a provider for a Prosthetics and Orthotics Products and Manufacturing Services. The Authority would employ Orthotists and Prosthetists and requires a partner to provide technicians and the supply and manufacturing of prosthetic/ orthotic devices. The service encompasses both adult and paediatric patients, including inpatient and outpatient clinics with provisions for specialist consultations, mobile, and potential community clinics. Initial contract award of seven (7) years with two optional extension periods of one (1) year each, giving a potential total contract period of nine (9) years.
How the procedure runs: Competitive Flexible Procedure, with dialogue, under the new Procurement Act 2023. Responses to any conditions of participation will be assessed in accordance with the selection process and any selection criteria as set out in the Tender Documentation. The assessment of these responses will identify the five (5) highest ranking Suppliers who will be invited to participate in Stage 2 and Stage 3 , Invitation to Submit Initial Tender (ISIT) and Invitation to Submit Final Tender (ISFT). **Pre-market engagement sessions were undertaken prior to the start of the tender process. A Pre-Market Engagement notice was not issued due to this process being undertaken prior to the enforcement of the new Procurement Act 2023. The Authority reserves the right to refine any specific award criteria during the Procurement (in accordance with section 24 of theProcurement Act 2023).
