What is being bought
In order to provide a suitable work environment at these new premises for circa 1200 staff in Dundee and Glasgow Social Security Scotland intends to procure catering services. Services will include the provision of hot and cold beverages, breakfast and café style lunch menus and a variety of confectionary.
Consideration is being given to reserving this contract for supported businesses in line with Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015 Regulation 21 (2)
Regulation 21 defines a supported business as:
“an economic operator whose main aim is the social and professional integration of disabled and disadvantaged persons and where at least 30% of the employees of the economic operator are disabled or disadvantaged persons”
