What is being bought
The purpose of the Water Network and Demand Consultancy framework is to support in the investigation, analysis and understanding of demand for water in the region supplied by United Utilities Water (UUW), as well as surrounding regions. An understanding of demand for water now and in the future forms an integral part of UUW’s strategies and plans. The framework contributes to the delivery of UUW’s Water Resources Management Plan (WRMP), Price Review, Drought Plan, Annual Performance Reporting and other Regulatory Reporting.
Demand for water is made up of four main components:
1. Household (domestic) customer consumption/usage, known as “household consumption”;
2. Non-household (commercial and industrial) customer consumption/usage, known as “non-household consumption”;
3. Leakage; and
4. Any other uses of water, such as water taken unbilled, known as “minor components”.

Provide analysis, audit and assurance support for leakage analysis and reporting, in line with Ofwat guidance and industry best practice. 5. Provide advanced analytical and modelling support for wider water and wastewater network studies, as well as supporting with the development of related plans and strategies. 6.
