Coverage: 424 active published awards; 420 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Published-to-award variance compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

Procedure rationaleThese three services currently carry 169,922 passenger journeys per year2. Their removal would therefore cause many people to struggle to get to their place of education or work as well as other key facilities such as shops and health services In addition tourists may also be put off visiting the area, impacting on local businesses as a result. Given the significance of these services for workers, residents, and tourist alike, it is proposed the Council subsidise these services financially for an agreed period. The primary objective is to retain these three commercial services through financial support for an agreed period. This financial support will give Operators the opportunity to return these services back to commercial viability and/or allow the Council to review these services in line with the Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP) funding options for new and enhanced services.
