What is being bought
Published requirement descriptionGlaucoma Repeat Readings
Community eye care Glaucoma Repeat Readings service will support the management of those patients requiring repeat Intra-ocular pressure readings. This will ensure that the inappropriate referrals into hospital eye services are minimised and the referral contains high quality information.
Children's Vision Service
Eye screening services are offered to all children of reception class age who are patients who
are registered with a GP Practice within the boundaries of the Clinical Commissioning Groups as listed
within the contract. Of these children a number fail the initial screening and require a further intervention.
For many children where complex eye problems are not suspected, it is appropriate that referral is made
to a community optometrist to make further assessment including a GOS Eye Test and to offer appropriate
management.
