Published requirement descriptionLeicester City Council, working with Leicestershire County Council, has established a framework for the provision of the removal, transportation and storage of cadavers on behalf of the HM Coroners.
The framework agreement is split into geographical lots, operating on a rota basis.
The Framework is for two years, with an option to extend for a period or periods totalling no more than a further two years. The maximum permitted term is 4 years.

The Councils, through this procurement exercise, are seeking to enter into a Framework with a multiple Suppliers for each Lot, as follows:
Rutland & North Leicestershire Coroner’s Jurisdiction
- Lot 1 -North West Leicestershire District
- Lot 2 - Charnwood Borough
- Lot 3 - Melton Borough
- Lot 4 - Rutland County
- Lot 5 - Harborough District
Leicester & South Leicestershire Coroner’s Jurisdiction
- Lot 6 - Blaby District
- Lot 7 - Hinckley & Bosworth Borough
- Lot 8 - Oadby & Wigston
- Lot 9 – Leicester City
There would be no limit as to how may suppliers would be admitted onto each lot. The framework would operate on a rota basis within each lot, with the suppliers receiving a set fee for the services.
Estimated value given at II.2.6 covers all lots.
