Coverage: 11 active published awards; 1 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Published-to-award variance compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

Planning and rationale
Planning budgetNot published |
No-engagement rationaleNot published |
Procedure rationaleThe supplier was chosen to remain in service due to the demand on national occupational health services and supplies. Upon market testing, some suppliers stated they may be saturated and have limited capacity to bid for extra work. In order to not pursue a lesser competitive procurement exercise, with competing tight deadlines and getting a new supplier ready for the schedule of mobilisation, the position was taken to continue with the supplier. The University would be unable to operate the courses delivered to the students by the faculty of Health and Life Sciences if the time constraints to complete a well rounded tender exercise meant that the mobilisation period was impeded upon. This would mean that the students would not be fully supported and up to date with health and wellbeing requirements in order to perform their studies and placements throughout the life of their course. |
