Coverage: 61 active published awards; 56 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Price reduction compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

Procedure rationaleThere are no realistic alternatives to the existing providers as Palliative and End of Life Care is currently provided in West Yorkshire by the 2 Children’s Hospices who currently deliver an Out of Hours service. This will support the ICB to meet the statutory responsibilities for an Out of Hours Palliative and End of Life Care advice and guidance service for all Babies, CYP and their families across West Yorkshire.

The service provides timely, specialist palliative advice OOH to improve symptom control, reduce avoidable hospital admissions, and support people to die in their preferred place |
