There are no realistic alternatives to recommissioning the existing provider because they provide:

Type 1 and 2 urgent and emergency services and associated emergency inpatient services
services established as a commissioner requested services (CRS)
a service that is interdependent with, and cannot realistically be provided separately from, another service which only that provider can realistically provide (e.g because of a need for cross-specialty or cross-service working).

Publisher note: This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) contract modification notice, under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award. This contract has now been formally modified. Approved by ICB Finance, Investment & Performance Committee. No Conflicts of Interest raised.
