Published requirement description

NHS Golden Jubilee has a requirement for an indirect calorimeter system. The system requires the following features:

  • Suitable for use with ventilated and unventilated patients
  • Must support the use of a face mask and/or a canopy hood
  • System must comply with ESPEN guidelines
  • Results must be available in under 15 minutes
  • Must be portable with battery backup to support easy transfer between patients
  • Must allow cleaning with neutral detergent wipes and Actichlor plus (Free Chlorine) disinfectant.
  • Must not require detailed interaction and user calibration before use
  • Supports simplified workflow without the need for in-depth specialist training
