What is being bought
Published requirement descriptionThe key services being sought are inspection of steam and hot water boilers, autoclaves, medical gas and compressed air systems, additionally a number of pressure systems that do not meet the requirements of PSSR will need inspected for the purposes of PUWER. Lifting equipment for inspection will include patient hoists, passenger and goods lifts and other lifting equipment including slings within NHSDG properties throughout Dumfries & Galloway. For clarity, out of hours refers to any work or call before 7am and after 5pm Monday to Friday, Saturday, Sunday and any public holiday as designated by NHS Scotland.

It is a mandatory requirement that the Contractor must hold accreditation by UKAS to BS EN ISO/IEC 17020:2004 for a Type A inspection body and provide proof of accreditation.
The Contractor must ensure that all staff and operatives are fully certificated by an appropriate regulatory body and must be suitably qualified and certified to carry out the work.
It is a mandatory requirement of NHSDG that all contractors must be registered as CHAS Advanced members proof of registration will be required prior to acceptance of any contractor. If not CHAS Advanced registered at the time of submission of the SPD, then a stated undertaking that if successful at the ITT stage this will be achieved within six months of contract award is acceptable at this stage.
