- Lot 1 · #1Individual lot title not publishedplannedPublished valueNot publishedThe Western Health and Social Care Trust is seeking to engage with providers of supported living, residential or nursing home service on the potential for a bespoke placement for an adult individual under the age of 21, who is a wheelchair user, with a diagnosis of: • This young person depends on carers for all aspects of personal care. • Developmental Trauma Disorder and Complex PTSD. Carers will need an understanding of how to help the individual manage this. • Moderate Learning difficulties although not registered with a Learning Disability. Accommodation needs for the adult The accommodation must include wheelchair accessible bedroom, own bathroom and own living room. Requires low stimulus environment, as free as possible from contact / noise by children or others and low environmental noise. Reliable internet access for the individual is essential. There must be secure / restricted / limited access to the accommodation so that the individual can only be accessed by going via staff. Requirements of Placement for Residential / Nursing Care The individual requires a tracking hoist, a toileting seat, bath/shower room big enough to accommodate a shower trolley, and if the accommodation is not level access, a suitable lift for the individual plus 1 carer. The individual will require 1:1 ratio of staffing 24/7 for an initial period of up to 12 weeks or earlier as appropriate. Psychological safety is essential otherwise risk of significant emotional dysregulation / extreme anxiety/distress. 2:1 to support is required with manual handling needs only (which would equate to 6 hours per day for the second staff member).
