Coverage: 2 active published awards; 3 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Published-to-award variance compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

The Cheyne Wing Transformer project will deliver critical electrical infrastructure upgrades at Kings College Hospital through the installation of a new 1.5MVA transformer and a 750kVA standby diesel generator. The load demands on these sub stations have been increasing beyond the ideal and where the resilience of the connected services could become compromised in a plant failure scenario. This, combined with a requirement to support proposed additional loads within Bessemer has led to the requirement for a further transformer substation, standalone Diesel generator support and associated new low voltage distribution facility to be created. These additions will support the increased electrical demand driven by more power requirements while alleviating load pressures on existing substations 1A and 1B. Strategically positioned at the southern end of Cheyne Wing, the transformer and generator will integrate into the hospital’s existing 11kV Ring B network, with associated low-voltage switchgear housed in a repurposed internal room adjacent to the current distribution boards. The project is designed to enhance resilience, improve maintainability, and provide sufficient capacity for future expansion. The Contracting authority seeks to understand from suppliers in the market whether they have appetite, capability and resource available to bid and deliver the project this Financial year 25/26. Please respond to this notice, with your interest and you will be considered and added to big for this provision via the Atamis Portal. Timeframe for response. With thanks, The Project Team,
