The purpose of this contract is to secure the services of a contractor to deliver the management and operation of five named Household Recycling Centres, at Larkhall, Strathaven, East Kilbride, Blantyre and Rutherglen to cover the period from award until February 2028, with the Council having the option to extend the contract until February 2033. In addition to the aforementioned sites, the Council owns and operates a sixth Household Recycling Centre located at Castlehill Industrial Estate, Carluke, ML8 5UF, with an adjoining Waste Transfer facility. There shall also be a requirement for the Service Provider to take responsibility for the sites’ Waste Management Licences and to enter into an Occupancy Agreement with the Council in respect of each site.
