Why no open competition: Single Suppliers Technical Reasons
Published justification: LivaNova is the only supplier currently on the market in the UK that are providing these machines as well as providing a maintenance service. Therefore, for the purposes of standardisation and maintaining quality control and price stability a direct award would be encouraged.
