What is being bought
Description: The proposed tender aims to secure the requirements for the supply of bespoke plastic and rubber components and related services (the Goods and Services) to London Underground Pan Fleet Rolling Stock. Scope: 1. The scope includes Goods and Services related to: 1.1 Plastics products, as defined by clause 2.1908 of BS EN ISO 472:2013+A1:2018 (7), that are bespoke to TfL. 1.2 Rubber products, as defined by clause 3.426 of BS ISO 1382:2025 (8), that are bespoke to TfL. 1.3 Polymer and composite products made by additive manufacturing, as defined by clause 3.1.2 of BS EN ISO/ASTM 52900:2021 (9), that are bespoke to TfL. 2. The scope excludes: 2.1 Commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) Goods and consumables that are not a sub-component of a bespoke component. 2.2 Goods and Services in the scope of ISO international classification for standards (ICS) group 83.160, Tyres. 2.3 Products and services in the scope of the following British Standards Institution (BSI) technical committees: 2.3.1 MCE/18, Fluid power systems and components 2.3.2 PRI/60, Resilient and laminate floor coverings 2.3.3 PRI/66, Rubber and plastics tubing, hoses and hose assemblies 2.3.4 PRI/76, Laminated sheet for decorative purposes 2.3.5 PRI/88, Plastics piping systems 2.3.6 RAE/3/-/4, Railway Applications - Suspension components, e.g. rubber suspension components, including pneumatic suspension springs (airbags) 2.3.7 RAE/3/-/1, Railway Applications - Wheels and wheelsets, e.g. bogie bumpstops 2.3.8 RAE/4/-/1, Railway applications - Braking Objective: The purpose of this preliminary market engagement is to understand current market capability and capacity for the supply of bespoke plastic and rubber components and related services.
