What is being bought
Dumfries and Galloway are exploring options for the provision of parts and services relating to the repair and maintenance of the waste process equipment within the Lochar-Moss MBT facility. The primary purpose of the MBT facility, is to mechanically recycle all incoming household waste from across the Dumfries and Galloway region of Scotland, operating 5 days per week, 24 hours per day, processing up to 70,000 tons of household bin waste per year. The scope may include but not be limited to emergency repairs, pro-active repairs and
maintenance and lifecycle replacement and refurbishment plant processing equipment in the following discipline areas:
- Chain conveyors
- Belt conveyors
- Shredders
- Trommels and screening
- Over-band magnetic extraction
- Overhead Gantry cranes
- Press compactors
- Process fans
- Compressors
- Dust extraction
- Rapid rise shutter doors
- Fire suppression system, flame detection

Included in the criteria for this lot will be: - All associated parts consumables, access equipment, safety controls. - Engineering Labour, Welding, design, and Fabrication. - Scaffolding, access equipment supplies and hire.
