Coverage: 1 active published awards; 1 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Published-to-award variance compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

What is being bought
The Natural History Museum (NHM) wishes to secure the purchase of a Laser Ablation System for the Imaging and Analysis Centre. The NHM has an excellent history of laser ablation analysis providing world class research and commercial work. We have run two systems since 2012 to cope with research demand and support the commercial work each year. Our previous system, which carried out most of the commercial work, has recently failed without warning. To keep up with contractual demands, while continuing to support grant funded projects, the Museum needs to acquire and install a laser ablation system as soon as possible.
