Coverage: 14 active published awards; 14 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Published-to-award variance compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

What is being bought
The LEIA programme is commissioning an eight-year impact evaluation to assess its achievements and effectiveness to date. It will also explore LEIA’s role in
facilitating the growth of the off-grid appliance sector in Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia.
We want to understand how LEIA’s delivery model has worked in practice. That includes how partnerships, coordination and collaboration across different workstreams have helped increase its impact.

The twin objectives of the eight-year impact evaluation are to: 1. Assess the impact of the LEIA programme both in terms of its direct outcomes and impact of the programme, achievements to date and understand its broader influence on the clean energy sector within its target geographies in Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia. 2. Inform the future direction of the LEIA programme by generating robust evidence on what has worked, why, and under what conditions. This will be achieved through shared learnings and deepened understanding of how the clean energy sector is evolving. This will help guide strategic decisions, ensure continued relevance, and support potential scale-up.Contract periodNot publishedEligibilityNot publishedOptions / renewalNot published
