Coverage: 17 active published awards; 14 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Published-to-award variance compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

Babcock Land Defence Limited, acting as the Agent to the UK Ministry of Defence, intends to negotiate a single source contract with Perkins Engines for supply of parts for the CV8 & CV12 engines and the X300 transmission system utilised across the Warrior, Challenger, Titan, Trojan & CRAARV platforms It is considered that this contract can be placed using the Negotiated Procedure Without Prior Publication pursuant to Regulation 16(1)(a)(ii) of the UK Defence and Security Public Contracts Regulations 2011 (Article 28(1) (e) of Directive 2009/81/EC) for technical reasons. The duration of the proposed contract is seven (7) years with an estimated value of £20 million This is a critical requirement for CV12, CV8 engines and X300 transmission.
