Herefordshire Council was awarded £7.54m UK Shared Prosperity Funding. The UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF or the Fund) is a central pillar of the UK government’s ambitious Levelling Up agenda and a significant component of its support for places across the UK. It seizes the opportunities of leaving the European Union, by investing in domestic priorities and targeting funding where it is needed most: building pride in place, supporting high quality skills training, supporting pay, employment and productivity growth and increasing life chances. This funding is part of Intervention E24: Funding for new and improvements to existing training hubs, business support offers https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/uk-shared-prosperity-fund-interventions-outputs-and-indicators/interventions-list-for-england.
The council is looking to appoint up to 10 business advisors to deliver 1-2-1 business advice to support delivery of this intervention in Herefordshire.
