Coverage: 2 active published awards; 0 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Published-to-award variance compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

Planning and rationale
Planning budgetNot published |
No-engagement rationaleNot published |
Procedure rationaleThe proposed robotic bronchoscopy work is directly related to previous work targeting the same clinical need (lung diagnostics), and there is a potential for the robotic system to be used to guide fibres and microendoscopes developed by the Universities of Edinburgh and Bath. As such, there is considerable value is maintaining and sharing knowledge created across these projects which a new supplier could not match. This project is expected to last 6 weeks and inform a longer term and much larger delivery project, the subject of a separate tendering exercise should this pilot proposal prove viable. |
