Coverage: 58 active published awards; 14 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Published-to-award variance compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

11 Jul 2025, 23:59 BST · scheduledNetwork Rail's current framework for the hire of Road Rail Vehicles (RRV), Operators and Attachments is set to expire on 31 March 2027. This framework provides national coverage across all five Network Rail regions. We are in the preliminary stages of developing a new strategy to procure a replacement solution, set to commence following the expiration of the current framework. Network Rail is keen to engage with prospective suppliers who may be interested in the upcoming framework. We invite such suppliers to attend an individual virtual engagement session. These sessions are likely to be scheduled for the weeks commencing 23 June 2025 and 7 July 2025. If your organisation is interested in participating in a market engagement session, please register your interest by emailing Jessica.Covey@networkrail.co.uk with the subject heading "RRV Market Engagement." Kindly register your interest by 27 June 2025. Upon receiving your expression of interest, we will contact you to arrange a suitable time slot and provide you with a questionnaire to be completed in advance of your session. If for any reason you cannot or would rather not attend a virtual session, you can still submit your completed questionnaire. Each individual session will last approximately 45 minutes, during which we will discuss your questionnaire responses in greater detail. The primary objective of this market engagement is to gather valuable information, understand market needs, risks, and challenges, and help shape the new procurement strategy. This engagement will ensure that Network Rail's requirements are both realistic and effective. Please note that the market engagement session is solely for the purpose of pre-procurement market engagement and does not constitute a commitment to undertake any future procurement. Interested parties will not be prejudiced by their response or lack thereof to the market engagement. Additionally, a response to this market engagement does not guarantee an invitation to participate in any future events or procurements. The market engagement does not constitute a call for competition for the procurement of any services, supplies, or works mentioned herein. Network Rail will not accept any proposals offered in response to this market engagement. Network Rail shall bear no responsibility for any costs, fees, or expenses incurred by any party in replying to or attending any market engagement event. Any procurement of services, supplies, or works by Network Rail will be conducted in strict accordance with the provisions of The Procurement Act 2023.
