Coverage: 4 active published awards; 4 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Published-to-award variance compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

The service had previously used another supplier for a similar approach from Feb 2023 to March 2023. The expected throughput of participants was not achieved due to the regular issues experienced with the units and provider. As a result, a number of clinics and appointments had to be cancelled. Due to the issues experienced and costs and cancelling of appointments, this provider was not suitable for continuation.Contract periodNot publishedEligibilityNot publishedOptions / renewalNot published

Procedure rationaleThere has been significant delays in participants receiving their offer for an eye screening appointment which has been drastically reduced in the last 6 months whilst utilising the Tenovus service. Continuation of this service is needed to support DESW in continuing to reduce the backlog of delayed participants and provide an equitable and accessible service by locating mobile units in areas were the programme are not able to secure a suitable clinic venue. |
