Management of Existing Accommodation at Castle Court, Castle Hill Hospital, Castle Road, Cottingham, Hull, HU16 5JQ - The accommodation comprises of 34 single rooms and 3 double units - 6 rooms will need to be provided as On Call Rooms (this is a minimum and can fluctuate), 2 as Duty Rooms and at least 2 as unexpected arrivals rooms - Sanctuary Housing developed accommodation and have a lease of the land at Castle Court (CHH) which the Trust Occupy under an Operations Agreement - The Trust arrange long and short term stays for residents and raise and collect the charges/rent for such and issue the relevant tenancy agreements - Sanctuary are responsible for repair and maintenance of the buildings. The repairing liability excludes furnishings, linen, white goods, electrical fitments, all bulbs, fluorescent tubes, starters and electrical fuses, blocked waste pipes and drain gullies where the blockage occurs as a result of an occupant’s actions and any items damaged through want or neglect of the occupant. Internal painting and decorating, internal door and cupboard furniture, WC seats, sink and bath plugs, tap washers and replacement door locks and keys will only be provided as a result of fair wear and tear at the end of an occupancy. These items are the responsibility of the Trust. The expectation is that repairs would be logged and reported to the appropriate party and checked once undertaken etc. - A linen service is provided which includes the provision of clean sheets and a small towel on a weekly basis - A cleaning service is provided Monday to Friday for communal areas only. A full specification can be provided upon request - The expected duration of the service contract would be 20 years and subject to a number of KPI’s 2. Build and Manage New Furnished En-suite Residential Accommodation at Hull Royal Infirmary: - To include as a minimum 20 single occupancy rooms, 6 of which will need to be allocated as on call rooms, 3 as duty rooms, 2 for unexpected arrivals and the remainder for short stays - To be constructed on land shown edged red on the attached plan. Location B is the preferred location - To include a number of accessible rooms - Management of the accommodation once constructed to include receiving enquiries, arranging bookings, invoicing, repair, maintenance, linen and cleaning services - The Trust will make payment for the on call and duty rooms at a previously agreed rate however staff would be expected to arrange payment directly for the remaining rooms - The expected duration of the contract would be 20 years 3 Provision of Off Site, Furnished En Suite Accommodation for Hull York Medical School (HYMS) Students and Trust Staff: Accommodation Requirements for HYMS Students: - The room requirements for HYMS students are forecast as follows: Academic Year Total No. of Rooms 2022 / 2023 105 2023 / 2024 67 2024 / 2025 onwards 38 - Please note that this can change from year to year and numbers from September onwards are usually confirmed in May of each year - There is a preference from all students to be located together and not mixed with other students as they will be working shifts etc. and cannot be disturbed. Students are usually allocated into single sex clusters - The Trust will pay for accommodation for HYMS students at a previously agreed rate - Trust staff will pay for and agree contracts for rooms directly - Management of the accommodation to include cleaning of common areas, provision of laundry facilities and common areas/lounges, repairs and maintenance. The provision of car parking is preferable - En-suite rooms are preferable or no more than two sharing a bathroom with some en suite rooms for those with a medical or religious requirement for such - Location to be agreed. Ideally the accommodation would be easily accessible from Castle Hill Hospital and Hull Royal Infirmary and close to main bus routes as it needs to be accessible from both Hospital Sites and ideally the University of Hull Accommodation Requirements for Trust Staff: - Provision of around 50 units - En-suite modern facilities with a variety of accommodation options to suit both long and short term stays - Management of the accommodation to include cleaning of common areas, cleaning of rooms at changeover, provision of laundry and common facilities, repair and maintenance and linen and cleaning services - Location to be agreed and easily accessible for staff working at Castle Hill Hospital and Hull Royal Infirmary. Accessibility to and from each site to be given careful consideration – such as a shuttle bus service at shift changeover times etc. - Prices must be competitive and reasonable.
