    "description": "This Preliminary Market Engagement Notice is placed to inform the market of the Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) for NHS Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire (BNSSG),\nSomerset and Devon (the Authorities 's), intention to recommission Healthcare Waste Collection in Primary Care and Community Pharmacy.\nThe Authorities would like to understand the level of provider interest in delivering these services and requests feedback from experienced organisations using a Market Engagement Questionnaire.\nThis is the second round of market engagement for this requirement, following a previous market engagement (REF2025/S 000-010158) published 19th March 2025 . The specification and supporting documentation has been updated significantly since then and we would encourage all interested parties that have previously submitted market engagement responses to view our updated question set and respond accordingly. Equally we also welcome newly interested parties to engage with and respond to our question set.\nThe service will provide a Primary Care and pharmacy medical waste collection and disposal/recycling for the 3 ICBs in the South West;\n•NHS Devon ICB\n•NHS Somerset ICB\n•NHS Bristol, North Somerset & South Gloucestershire ICB\nThese 3 ICBs are looking to re-procure in the near future (anticipated to be tendered in Nov 2025), all of their current contracts for Primary Care Clinical Waste Collection and disposal/recycling predominantly and Community Pharmacy. The intended service for tender include:\n1. Collection & transport of clinical waste and pharmaceutical waste.\n2. Storage of clinical waste and pharmaceutical waste\n3. Treatment of clinical waste and pharmaceutical waste\n4. Incineration of clinical waste and pharmaceutical waste\n5. Provision of reusable and single use containers for\nclinical waste and pharmaceutical waste\n6. Decontamination of reusable containers for\nclinical waste and pharmaceutical waste\n7.
