What is being bought
Published requirement descriptionThe Corporation seeks to appoint a multidisciplinary consultant to provide contract administration and quantity surveying services for the George Elliston and Eric Wilkins External Works and Electrical Upgrades package. The works will include:
window replacement
roof covering replacement including upgraded insulation
repair/replacement of rainwater goods
external fabric repairs including concrete and brickwork
any associated building work
redecoration of all previously painted surfaces within internal communal areas
electrical works including lateral mains replacement and communal lighting upgrades (where required)
provision of mechanical extraction
The multidisciplinary consultant will work collaboratively with the existing design team, principal contractor, and internal project leads to ensure successful delivery of the works.

- No preliminary market engagement: The Authority has not undertaken Preliminary Market Engagement prior to publication of this Notice as the requirement relates to a clearly defined package of professional services supporting an established programme of planned capital works. The scope of the appointment, comprising Contract Administration and Quantity Surveying services for the George Elliston and Eric Wilkins External Works and Electrical Upgrades project, has been developed through internal asset management, technical surveys and project planning activities. The Authority is therefore satisfied that the requirement is sufficiently defined and understood to proceed directly to procurement. The services being procured are standard multidisciplinary consultancy services that are widely available within the market and are not considered to require pre-market engagement to inform the procurement strategy, scope, contract structure or specification.
