The solution aims to improve transparency, enhance automation, strengthen auditability, and reduce operational and financial risk. It also aims to provide accurate, timely, and consistent financial information to support effective governance, oversight, and decision-making. A further objective is to ensure that WMPF's fund accounting arrangements remain fit for purpose in light of the Government's "LGPS: Fit for the Future" reforms, expected to take effect from April 2026.
The contract includes for the supply and installation of such a solution, delivered by a single supplier, and with ongoing support and maintenance.
