    The project aim is to identify and generate pragmatic, robust and proportionate economic methods for determining economic benefits for individual flood and coastal resilience and adaptation actions. <br/><br/> This will be achieved through the following objectives: <br/>-identify weaknesses and gaps in current methodologies for assessing the economic benefits of different flood and coastal resilience and adaptation actions and work underway to address these <br/>-develop quick wins for generating new robust project economic appraisal guidance and produce interim guidance <br/>-implement solutions to fill gaps in economic methods through the Flood and Coastal Innovation Programme projects <br/>-apply the methods to the Flood and Coastal Innovation Programmes to generate an assessment of the economic benefits from resilience and adaptation actions delivered by the projects  <br/>-update interim user guidance with new methods which are suitable for appraisals following the HM Treasury Green Book
