What is being bought2 lots · detail below
Published requirement descriptionTHIS IS NOT A TENDER OPPORTUNITY Carmarthenshire County Council have established a framework to deliver its Period Dignity Programme to communities and schools across the region. The Period Dignity programme aims to ensure there is a dignified way of accessing free of charge period products for those who menstruate within education and those from low-income households in Carmarthenshire local authority area in the most practical and dignified way possible. The framework will cover the supply and distribution of period products for community and school settings. It will also cover a Period Dignity Home Pack service within secondary schools. This procurement is subject to funding provided by the Welsh Government. Accordingly, there is a risk that the value of the grant may increase, decrease, or be withdrawn entirely on an annual basis. Any potential extension to the contract will be reviewed annually, subject to the continued availability of funding. In accordance with Schedule 8 of the Procurement Act 2023, this contract may be modified to provide for the supply of additional goods or services based on agreed tendered prices.
- The authority expects to re-tender this requirement around 12 Nov 2025, 23:59 GMT.

Published award criteria (2)
- Quality
- Price
- Price carries 60 of 100 points: a 10% discount moves about 6 points. This one is won on the number: sharpen the price before polishing the prose.
- “Period Dignity Products Framework” is a framework: the contest is a place on its panel, up to 2 suppliers, not a single contract, and call-offs are awarded directly: getting appointed is the whole game.
Price arithmetic assumes straight proportional scoring; the tender pack may use another formula.
