    Contractor required to complete FRA on our property stock, to provide an assessment of the risk to life from fire in the premises and, where appropriate, to make recommendations to ensure compliance with UK fire safety legislation. Secondly, the report will assess property protection to help reduce and manage the potential for expensive property loss in the event of a fire (risk to property). Therefore, each FRA should highlight as separate items the risk to life and the risk to property. The assessment will be conducted in accordance with the appropriate standards and codes of practice, including but not limited to: • BS 9999: Code of practice for fire safety in the design, management and use of buildings • BS 9991 Fire safety in the design, management and use of residential buildings - Code of practice • Building Regulations 2000 • Approved Document B Fire Safety 2000 edition incorporating 2000 and 2002 amendments • National Fire Chiefs Council (NFCC) Fire Safety in Specialised Housing. • HM Government Fire Safety Risk Assessment Sleeping Accommodation • HM Government Fire Safety Risk Assessment Means of Escape for Disabled People Supplementary Guide. • Practical Fire Safety Guidance for Existing Specialised Housing (Scottish Government) • LACoRS • Purpose Built Blocks of Flats Guide (LGA) Each Fire Risk Assessment supplier will hold BAFE Accreditation (or other Professional Body Registration) as a minimum. It is also desirable that individual assessors hold third party accreditation.

Progress Housing Group have the opportunity to select FCS-Live Limited as the preferred consultant as they are considered to provide the most economically advantageous service for this project.
