Published requirement descriptionJisc has established an agreement with a single supplier to become the partner for Jisc for a portfolio of fibre-based and cellular connectivity solutions, including (but not limited to) the following:
- 1Gbit/s fibre-based Janet connectivity plus cellular backup based on 5G capable hardware.
- 10Gbit/s fibre-based Janet connectivity plus cellular backup based on 5G capable hardware.
- xDSL internet connectivity plus cellular backup based on 5G capable hardware.
- Cellular only internet connectivity based on 5G capable hardware.
- SIM-only cellular services.
- SD-WAN services
- Guest Wi-Fi services.
- Capability to provide 100Gbit/s services.
- VoIP services.
- National field force, able to deliver and support services in all areas of the UK.
The successful bidder has the capability to provide all of these services.

Jisc Services Limited has incorporated a standstill period at the point information on the award
of the contract is communicated to tenderers. That notification provided full information on
the award decision. The standstill period, which was for a minimum of 10 calendar days,
provided time for unsuccessful tenderers to challenge the award decision before the contract
was entered into. The Public Contracts Regulations 2015 Article 91 provides for aggrieved
parties who have been harmed or are at risk of harm by a breach of the rules to take action
in the High Court (England, Wales and Northern Ireland).
