Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

What is being bought
NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands CSU (AGEM CSU) on behalf of NHS England - East of England (The Commissioner) is seeking expressions of interest to deliver short-term support to help urgent dental access within Suffolk and North East Essex (SNEE) for Lot1:Ipswich, Lot2:Bury St Edmunds & Lot3:Colchester. The deadline for Expressions of Interest is 10am Monday 1 August 2022.
The new contracts will commence on 1 September 2022 for a period of 7 months until 31 March 2023. The contract to be entered into will be in accordance with the Personal Dental Services (PDS) agreement 2018. For absolute clarity a separate PDS Agreement will be formed for each lot.
This opportunity may be of interest to existing dental practice(s) with the capacity to take on an additional 6667 UDAs (per lot) and the provider will be paid £30 per UDA. In recognition of the fact that capacity is currently constrained in the SNEE area, the Commissioner is looking for multiple providers to carry out this work.

The Commissioner is seeking a provider who can deliver the following: - Urgent Dental Services – Core Hours • Urgent Care Services to be available to all patients presenting at the Service location. • Services to be available to patients who have not received treatment by a NHS General Dental Practitioner within the previous three months. • Services to be undertaken between 8 am and 5 pm, Monday to Friday as a minimum. The Service should cover the geographical location and surrounding area for Lot 1: Ipswich (please refer to the published spec). The premises must be easily accessible for patients by foot, private vehicle, or public transport. The premises must also comply with; • Equality Act 2010 and DDA Act as set out in the PDS Contract. Interested providers are to note that the Commissioner will not be providing any additional funding for costs associated to sourcing or fitting out suitable premises. Please note, these are new individual PDS contracts and therefore TUPE is not applicable. The Commissioner wishes to engage with the market, to ascertain the level of interest from viable providers by completing a short market assessment questionnaire. Potential service providers who are capable of meeting the minimum requirements set out above, in the supporting Dental Proposal, in the Service Specification and who wish to register their interest for the proposed service are asked to complete a short questionnaire on the EU Supply. Providers wishing to express an interest, are to register on the EU Supply website https://uk.eu-supply.com/login.asp?B=UK against Quote/tender 56572- Expressions of Interest for Short-term initiative to support urgent dental care in Suffolk and North East Essex (Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds & Colchester) and complete the market assessment questionnaire. If interested providers have any questions regarding this opportunity, then they may raise questions via the portal’s messaging facility. Please note, the deadline for Expressions of Interest is 10am on Monday 1st August 2022. This online questionnaire will influence the procurement process that the commissioner follows in order to source a suitable service provider(s). Therefore, we encourage organisations to respond to the published questionnaire if they are indeed interested in this opportunity. In the event that more than one compliant provider registers an interest for an individual lot and meets the requirements set out in this Notice and supporting documentation, the Commissioner may either set out details for a competitive process (in August 2022) or the caseload may be split as equitably as possible between interested providers that are able to meet the requirements (Providers are requested to confirm the minimum number of UDA’s they can deliver in their response to question [B4a] of the online questionnaire). Should only one provider meet the requirements, the Commissioner reserves the right to award to that provider following due diligence checks.Contract periodNot publishedEligibilityNot publishedOptions / renewalNot published
