Coverage: 15 active published awards; 12 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Price reduction compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

Procedure rationaleFollowing a competitive process in 2022, a contract was awarded to the various tenderers who were the only tenderers for their respective entertainment services. They have been operating as the Council's service providers from award of the contract. Due to the unforeseeable death of the Queen and subsequent coronation of King Charles, the scope and scale of the contract required expansion to accommodate the necessary public events associated with the change and thereby necessitated additional services to hold such events. This has created an increase in the value of the contract that was unforeseeable at the time of tender. In addition, and as demonstrated in the competitive tender process, the awarded companies are the only ones in Northern Ireland capable of providing the services required necessary for events. A new procurement process will be initiated in early 2024. This contract will only be in place until a new contract can be established through a competitive procurement process.
