Coverage: 6 active published awards; 3 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Price reduction compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

What is being bought
As part of Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service's (NIFRS) operational fire fighters duties, they have to enter operational incidents wearing Breathing Apparatus (BA). This system allows the firefighter to breathe clean air which enables them to carry out rescues or to fight fires in burning or smoke filled buildings. Each BA set has a cylinder that contains clean air; the cylinder only has a limited amount of clean air so fire fighters are restricted on the length of time they can operate effectively in this environment before they have to exit the building and change the cylinder. This contract will enable vital repairs to be undertaken on this Apparatus.
